Legion Branch 100 – Rules & Guidelines

General Conduct

  • Respect all members, guests, and staff at all times.
  • Legion facilities are to be used in a manner that honours veterans and supports community spirit.
  • Disorderly conduct, harassment, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Membership & Participation

  • Members are encouraged to attend meetings, volunteer, and support branch activities.
  • Guests must be signed in by a member and abide by branch rules.
  • Colour Party and ceremonial participation is open to members in good standing

Legion Branch 100 – Smoking Policy

In adherence to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017, the following regulations apply to all Branch 100 property:

General Rules

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the Legion building at any time.
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited within 9 metres of the EAST and Office entrances
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited on patios or outdoor areas where food or drink is served or consumed.
  • Cannabis use is subject to the same restrictions as tobacco and vaping products.

Member & Guest Responsibilities

  • All members and guests must comply with provincial law and branch rules.
  • Designated smoking areas, if provided, must be used responsibly and kept clean.
  • Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises and/or further disciplinary action.

Enforcement

· Branch staff and executive members are responsible for monitoring compliance. · Violations will be addressed in accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 and Legion policy.

Legion Branch 100 – Food Policy

In accordance with the Health Protection and Promotion Act, Ontario Regulation 493/17 – Food Premises, the following rule applies to all Branch 100 property:

  • FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE BUILDING.
  • All food service must be provided through the Legion’s authorized catering services (Ladies Auxiliary or approved providers).
  • This regulation ensures compliance with provincial health standards and protects the safety of members, guests, and the community.
  • Exceptions are not permitted under the Act.

Accessibility & Safety

  • Branch 100 is fully wheelchair accessible.
  • The hall serves as a safe haven during emergencies.
  • Fire exits must remain clear at all times.

For the convenience of all members and guests:

  • An elevator is located on the south side of the building.
  • The elevator provides easy access to all floors.

  • When: 4th Tuesday of each month
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: Branch 100 Hall

Easy Access to elevator at South side of building is available to all floors.
